Parenting Plan Evaluations (formerly Child Custody Evaluations) Parenting Plan Evaluations (PPE) require specialized knowledge, experience, and training with forensic psychology, child development, family systems, and the specific jurisdictional laws governed by the courts. My approach to PPE is aligned with the Guidelines for "Parenting Plan Evaluations in Family Law Cases" put forth by the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), the Specialty Guidelines for Forensic Psychologists (SGFP), as well as the American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines for conducting "Child Custody Evaluations in Divorce Proceedings." My approach to child custody evaluations is comprehensive, yet prudent and timely, and includes clinical interviews with parents and child(ren), psychological testing, parent-child observations, reviewing pertinent collateral records, interviewing collateral sources, maintaining detailed records, and writing a thorough report that maintains neutrality and provides an expert opinion regarding the best interest of the child or children involved in the case.
Please note that my services can only be retained through attorneys or the court, and not private litigants.
